Alleged child rapist held on $5,000 bail

FITCHBURG — A 49-year-old city man who allegedly sodomized
a young boy was ordered held on bail during a pretrial hearing in
Fitchburg District Court yesterday.

Heber D. Gonzalez, of 63 Myrtle Ave., is charged with rape of a
child with force and an unnatural act with a child. The rape allegedly
occurred Jan. 7.

He is listed as a laborer at a paving company on Summer Street in
Lunenburg.

He was ordered held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. His pretrial hearing
was continued to Feb. 22. He was arraigned Jan. 10.
